the face without a mask
I follow an idea wherever it goes.
artist, writer, and the person who keeps starting things in forms she’s never tried before.
a letter, in place of a biono. 01
I’m Merna Elsallab — an independent artist, writer, and founder. I work across painting, drawing, sculpture, handmade objects and writing, and I let the idea choose: a painting, a mask, a figurine, a lino print, or a form I haven’t met yet.
What I keep coming back to is the inside of people — emotions, human nature, imagination, and the strange, beautiful, sometimes uncomfortable things that make up being alive.

The other half of my week
I also founded The Radius Agency, a communications agency working in maritime decarbonisation. It lives in a separate room. This house is kept for the other part.
